![Standalytics](/content/Standalytics.jpg) # **International Confex** ## Analysing an Event for Event Organisers ### Organising an event for event organisers means a lot of pressure. Like all event managers the International Confex team want everything to run smoothly, giving visitors and exhibitors the best possible experience. Standalytics' system gave Confex organisers access to previously uncaptured data showing the movements of attendees around the stands, the most popular locations, and how long people stopped in different areas. #### **The Challenge** For exhibition organisers maximising visitor numbers and revenue from stands are crucial factors for a successful event. When you are organising your event, how do you decide which stands go where? How do people move around your event? Where do they go and for how long? How do you price your stands? Do you charge people a premium for the best placed stands, and if so how do you justify it? #### **The Solution** Standalytics can give you access to detailed data to evaluate your event. Where did people go, which areas were most popular, which stalls had the highest footfall, and where people spend the longest time. Our Standalytics platform picks up anyone with a WiFi enabled smart device (generally up to 90% of people) and captures where they and their device go, broken down to five-minute intervals. #### **The Data** Thanks to the Standalytics system, Confex organisers have a clear breakdown of how many people were at their event throughout the two day period. #### **Heat Maps** Heat maps created using data captured by a range of sensors allow us to understand where those people spend their time. Interestingly the picture varies over the two days. Event organisers can log in to view these reports and adjust the settings to as little as five-minute windows to give a precise understanding of where people were at what time. Not only can we see the areas with the highest traffic but we can also see the most popular routes taken around the event. ![HeatMaps](/content/heatmaps.jpg) ![flow](/content/flow.jpg) #### **Analysis** Finally we can look at presentation spaces and whether they were used effectively or not. At Confex, Theatre 3 was the smallest of the three and yet more people went there than Theatre 1 and on day two spent nearly 50% longer there. ![sensor](/content/sensor.jpg) ![sensor1](/content/sensor1.jpg) #### **The Results** Standalytics' system offered unrivalled insight into how people moved around International Confex. Organisers can see in great detail which areas were popular, where people chose to spend their time and how they moved around the event. This is hugely valuable as part of the evaluation of the event but invaluable for planning and selling space at future events. The programme of presentations in theatres can be reviewed in light of the visitors numbers and behaviour. The organisation of the stands and the prices charged can also be revised for the following event based on hard data. Premium stand pricing in popular areas can easily be justified based on heat maps and flow evidence. #### **The Future** Better data means bigger budgets. We can help you to analyse every aspect of your exhibition to truly understand what worked and what didn't and how people experienced your event. Involve us in your event this year and you'll be able to prove exactly how great it was, and understand how to make it event better next time.

Enquire

 ---

Home

About The Data

Cheltenham Science Festival

Currys Bakeaway

Experiential Standalytics

International Confex

Lollapalooza Festival

Understanding Attendees Demographics
